In Jan 2024, SIFS completed an office building in Jebel Ali Industrial first. The building was originally designed with typical minimum green building regulations i.e. insulation values of 0.57 W/m2K for wall and 0.3 W/m2K for roof. The client approached SIFS with the intent of reducing the operational energy for the office building. Since, HVAC is the largest energy consumption source for an office building in the Middle East, we proposed a reduction in U-values for the building envelope.
We completed the project with Smart Wall Masonry Panel for external walls with a U-value of 0.18 W/m2K and advanced combo roof system with U-value of 0.18 W/m2K. This helped us reduce the HVAC design load by 38%. (Initial load of 26 tons reduced to 16 tons)

SIFS has set-up real-time monitoring system in the office which helps us evaluate the energy consumption of the building. Based on the data collected so far, a predicted EUI of the building is also displayed through this monitoring system. More insights is available below through the monitoring system interface. The Building solar PV works are in progress and is expected to complete by June 2024.
